This self-paced course is designed to equip participants
with a comprehensive understanding of procurement transparency and its
role in promoting fairness, efficiency, and accountability. It explores how
transparent procurement builds trust, reduces corruption risks, and creates a
competitive environment that leads to better quality and value for money.
Through this course, participants will:
- Learn
the definition and importance of transparency in procurement across
public, private, and civil society sectors.
- Explore
global and national laws, regulations, and standards that promote
transparent procurement, including Lebanon’s Public Procurement Law.
- Understand
the benefits of transparency for service providers, buyers, and the
public.
- Gain
practical knowledge on governance, segregation of duties, and
conflict-of-interest management to ensure fairness in supplier selection.
- Study
transparent bidding processes, asset management, quality control, and
delivery systems to build reliable and auditable procurement cycles.
- Learn
how to promote fair competition, equal opportunity, and compliance while
reducing risks of fraud and favoritism.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to
design and manage procurement systems that are fair, competitive, and
accountable, contributing to a more efficient and trustworthy organizational
environment.
